This exercise is last of smart mapping lesson that I did to learn about smart mapping. Form the "Smart Mapping Styles in the new Map Viewer" story map, I read through the story map and learn the different style of mapping. The most interested to me are mapping in compare, relationship, and continuous timeline and age. At last, I choose to do a mapping for compare of the "Smart Mapping: Compare A to B".
At first, I use Dark Gray Canvas map of the base map and add "ACS Population Variables - Boundaries" layer to map viewer.
Then, I choose to add field of female and male population as an attributes, and change the style to compare A to B.
After enable the compare A to B style, I edit the color, and change the labels to showcase the data of A as a percent of the sum of A and B.
The comparison is showing percentage data of the female population to the sum of female and male population. Also, showing the percentage at average values.
Finally, I add the feature show the area with no data values.
Great work. For all three of your smart mapping posts, what did the final data product tell you? What do you observe in the data?
